FAQ
Flex Guiders are different from traditional training wheels because they allow the bicycle to tilt while also providing support. Tilting is an essential element of learning balance since you need to tilt in order to make turns. Flex guiders offer varying levels of support so that as the rider gains confidence and skill, they can be weaned off the support and gradually transition to completely independent riding.
14" and 16" bikes with a horizontal slot on the back wheel are compatible with Flex Guiders. Check out this blog post on how to best determine the size of your bike's tires:

Remove existing training wheels and the nuts located on the rear axle so that the yellow flex guider piece can engage directly on the bike frame. Thread the Flex Guider over the rear axle and tighten the nut over it. That's it!

Over time the bands will become less elastic. We expect the bands to last at 3-4 months depending on use and storage. Check the bands for signs of wear before each use. To prolong the life of the bands, do not store them at tension. If you'd like to order additional bands they can be found here.
